My backend developer wants to secure with Basic Authentication the web services he is going to produce. Will this work properly with Flex?
I've seen .setCredentials(), but I've seen posts saying that this doesn't work (http://taylorbarstow.com/tags/air/) and also that when you *do* manage to subvert Flex to work with Basic Authentication, if the authentication fails the browser takes over, offering its own popup login - yuk! Has anyone had experience in doing this or can point me at tutorials I seem to have missed? Cheers, David.
