If I declare an event in the meta data of an Interface:
package as3.interfaces
{
[Event(name="storableEvent", type="flash.events.Event")]
public interface IBrowserManagerAware
{
function get searchFragment():Object
function set searchFragment(frag:Object):void
}
}
then I get a compiler error when I try and set an event handler on the MXML
instance of an object implementing the interface, unless I put the event meta
data in (every !) implementing class.
I.e.
this fails:
<view:Search width="100%" height="100%"
storableEvent="updateURL()"
label="Search"/>
unless the meta data is in the Search.mxml file instead of the interface
Search.mxml implements.
What's the correct way to say that all the objects in a set will dispatch a
common event ?
