OK, it looks like setting paintsDefaultBackground to false tells the
HTML renderer not to render an opaque background. But the HTML control
still has its own opaque background. To get rid of it, call
myHTML.setStyle("backgroundColor", null) or set the backgroundAlpha to
0.

That was what I used, but the background was still white.
Can't really figure out why the background was still coming through.
