Thanks the setItemAt works nicely. The refresh is available but I was looking in the wrong spot. It does however cause the grid to reposition, so its probably doing a full redraw. Simply assigning a value to selectedItem doesn't displatch the events necessary to make the DG UI update. refresh() *is* a method on the AC. Calling that should also work (but it may cause a full redraw, I don't recall.) Why do you say it is not available? It is listed in the docs.
