SCORM = Shareable Content Object Model: http://www.adlnet.gov/scorm/ It's a standard adopted by the U.S. government and several private sector businesses for distributing electronic learning solutions - part of SCORM is metadata, part of it is how the app talks to the server and communicates things about the user session, and is supposed to allow re-use of learning components (hence the "sharable" part). To the poster, you can use External Interface in Flash/Flex to talk to the SCORM javascript API...
