Yes, I normally do not take the time to run examples especially when I'm really busy with my real job. Your test case was more complex than it needed to be which let to confusion and forced me to take the time to actually run the code. I have reproduced your results in a simpler scenario and will investigate further. Please file a bug so we can track this issue.
