I agree with Ralf. I think that on the itemEditBeginning event for a DataGrid, you should cancel the default edit session by calling event.preventDefault(). Then, use the event.rowIndex to help you calculate the location of where a PopUp should be placed. You can easily put any controls in this PopUp and then push the data to your dataProvider when the buttons in your popUp are clicked. Hope this is clear. Joan
