Is the I-Beam cursor showing in the TextArea? If not, check FOCUS_IN and FOCUS_OUT events to see who's stealing focus. Otherwise, see if you get KEY_DOWN and TEXT_INPUT events from the TextArea and maybe make sure you aren't using .restrict incorrectly.

Example: i have a TextArea, which is only activated, if the user selects a Radio Button. If so, the TextArea gets enabled and you can click in it. You can even mask the default text. But if you type something, it nevers gets shown in the box. Can someone help me? I have no idea where to search for the bug. Thanks in advance.
