Sorry, I should have stated that I had already Googled this and lookked at the encoding question without success. My prolog is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> My project->properties->resource is 'Inherit from container UTF-8', I've also tried 'other UTF-8' and 'ISO-8859-1' (with appropriate changes to the prolog). I seem to be fighting Flex 3 after only 3 days with it. May go back to Flex 2.01 while these annoyances are ironed out. Anyone tried setting the textAlign to center in a dataGridColumn, onlt to return to the design view and found your datagrid has vanished!? Happens every time for me. Manual refresh every time? No thank you. However, I need to find the solution to this now so I can actually compile my project and get back to work. Grr ...
