FYI only SummaryField in AdvancedDataGrid doesn't show summary totals unless the label matches the dataField. This is when summaryPlacement="group" .
My dataProvider column is projectTotal Works <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="projectTotal" label="projectTotal"/> Doesn't Work <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="projectTotal" label="Total"/> My first thought was that the label could be anything, as long as the dataField exactly matched the column in the dataProvider. Not the case. label appears to be the driver of the show, not dataField. Thought this might bite someone else, so I just posted it here. No need to respond...just FYI Don
