Registering should be ok, but nothing will be saved so it is a waste of code.

If I am using deep linking in my application I know that historyManagementEnabled will be set to false at the application level. However, will I still be able to have my custom components implement mx.managers.IHistoryManagerClient and manually register the component with the HistoryManager? Will that break deep linking?
