Panel is a container, but its default value for the "layout" property is "vertical" (i.e. it works as a VBox). "top", "bottom", "left", "right" styles for children only work under "absolute" layouts (like Canvas or Panel and Application with the "layout" property set to "absolute"). hope this helps, -- Alberto Brealey-Guzmán +506 88.18.55.74
