Hi there, I am hoping to develop an AIR application that overlays a video stream being displayed by VLC or Quicktime.
I have been testing with the Adobe demo AIR application called ScreenBoard and found that VLC video comes through the transparent AIR window as a black box and Quicktime video passes through, but with a very high rate of flicker. Has anyone else worked on this and found a workaround for the black box or flicker issues? Perhaps another video player is worth a try? The ultimate goal is to display a live MPEG4 or H.264 stream behind a user interface without requiring video transcoding to RTMP with Flash Media Server. Thanks for any advice!
