Hey Guys, I'm really interested in actionscript internals, especially how is and as work, what role .prototype actually plays, more info about the traits object, and the like. Specific questions:
Can I "trick" is / as? Meaning can I mark any instance (or even just a proxy instance) as being a subclass of BaseFoo, or even just implementing IFoo, at runtime? Can I have a constructor that takes (... args) and if so, can I somehow invoke another constructor using the Function methods even though "this" can't yet exist? When I call ObjectUtil.toString() on a Class, I get way more information than it in the docs, such as the factory details. Where can I learn more about this? Any pointers to blogs, articles, or books about these topics would be *greatly* appreciated! The AS virtual machine specs are kinda scary and I'd prefer english whenever possible :) Cheers! -Josh -- "Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls.
