Hi, 

You could try using padding to shift the components over to the left
hand side.

Are you using Flex 2 or 3? I was having a look there if you select a
form item in Flex3 you have the option of aligning it?

Design wise, there's a reason that all the text labels are aligned to
the right, it looks cleaner beside text boxes, and in terms of
usability it's proven to be a lot better. ( There are no jagged lines
of text breaking up the line of sight. )

If you can't find a work around tell them that you know what your
doing. The client isn't always right.
