This, "parentDocument.mygrid.ID" will return a reference to the DataGridColumn object. You want the value of the IDProperty on the dataProvider item that underlies the row/itemRenderer.
You can get that through the "data" property of the renderer, or in the set data() override, depending on how you have implemented the renderer.
