Hello all,
I was looking at a few nice tutorials on ActionScript. One of
them is developed with the Flex Builder application as the focus for
the work done. Obviously, it is good learning for Flash or Flex. In
the training, which is visual, the instructor creates an ActionScript
3.0 project in Flex Builder 2. I have Flex Builder CS3 - Flex 3. So,
the first thing I see that is different is that Flex 3 creates an AS
3.0 file that creates a class that extends Sprite, and of course,
imports flash.display.Sprite;
In the video, using Flex 2.0, we have Flex creating a class that
extends MovieClip and importing flash.display.MovieClip.
What is a Sprite in Flash/Flex/AS 3.0?
How much different is Flex Builder 3.0 from version 2.0. If the
instructor is using Flex 2.0 for teaching AS 3.0 will there be any
problems if I am using Flex 3.0 to learn AS 3.0. I'm wondering what
your opinions might be or if someone could offer some advice on these
issues.
Thanks in advance,
Bruce
