Are you running Firefox with any add-ins, like "GreaseMonkey"? This is a known issue.

I've done the following trying to fix it * I've uninstalled flash using the adobe uninstaller. * Rebooted my machine. * Downloaded the latest debugger from adobe's website. * Install latest flash debug player. * Verified via Adobe KB that i have the latest version and it is a debugger version. * Tried to run debug for a basic flex applicaiton in both FF3 and IE7 both failed.
