Thanks for pointing me to that thread. I never suspected the updater but I did upgrade to AIR 1.1 and implemented the updater in the app in the same day. As stated above I'm currently having to use the same workaround of listening to the EXITING event and closing the open windows myself, I'll be looking for the updater patch. Thanks again.
