I have an a production intranet system running on ColdFusion which has periodic need to handle 300 simultaneous users all subscribed to the same chat session. The current system does a meta refresh every 5 seconds and returns the latest 30 chat entries. This is causing network issues on the intranet when we have 300 users.
I am wondering if a Flex/Blaze DS solution might be better. Can Blaze handle that kind of subscription volume? Does anyone have any other suggestions?
