Normally you examine event.target's properties to see what it is and
respond accordingly.  You can't add properties to events dispatched by
the player.  You can dispatch your own event with additional parameters
if you want.

This page seems to indicate that you cant have a mouseclick event page 
additional parameters unless the object being clicked is defined in
MXML.

I find that hard to believe.

What if I am making images dymanically ?
How do I add click that are not all the same without passing an 
additional parameter ?
