We had a client with a request to put a form in the header of the
datagrid and we ended up placing a component right above as Gordon
suggests. It lacks some of the functionality of being part of the
datagrid but for our purposes we ended up with many more options. It
is also easier to extract data because you don't have to create a
custom component for each column.
