I was writing the same thing when I saw Brendan's reply. I'll be releasing an updated version of mine to correct a few bugs (mainly to allow the same functionality if you have more than 2 slider thumbs, to show all datatips at once, and to correct a change event dispatching bug). But the version on the exchange might be enough for you now.
