[flexcomponents] Using Sockets on a server

Hey all,
            I am using a bascic Socket class to hit and irc server and get
some data back. The thing is it works fine when I run the locally on my
machine but when I put it on a server I get this error

TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert
flash.events::[EMAIL PROTECTED] to SecurityError.
