Adobe/Macromedia has a wealth of information out there on doing it, it
just seems vague, incomplete or hard to find (or all of the above).

You want my honest opinion on this?

They really don't know the best way to do it yet.

They have not developed tons of commercial components and they use their own
defaults and assets.swf that is pre initialized in the flex compiler.

So, they are seeing how us developers do it and I am sure you will see more
advice down the road bent on how devs are actually doing it.

Or, they will find away to package our components in FlexBuilder that will
create an installation file.

PS I am already thinking about an Apollo application that will install
components. I am just waiting until it is not in test phase IE alpha, beta
etc.

Peace, Mike

  Michael,

Thank you for the insight. And I appreciate the advice on how to do this
skinning/styling thing. Adobe/Macromedia has a wealth of information out
there on doing it, it just seems vague, incomplete or hard to find (or all
of the above). Hopefully someone will find this dialog useful when doing
the same stuff we do.

Thanks again.
