It is a huge problem to solve although just knowing Adobe is commited to solving it goes a long way to easing tensions in the market.
The Virtual Ubiquity has very, very cool stuff. In a single editable document I believe they could solve the issue. That unfortunately is a long way from an true RTL datagrid with wordwrap and editable cells all working with scrollbars on the correct side and quickly scrolling a hundred rows. I think that is also part of the issue that will eventually need to be addressed. Even once the text can be displayed correctly, there are thousands of places within the framework that need to be changed. I remember trying to modify the horizontal scroll list to handle RTL and found that the highlight positioning of the elements is basically determined by determining the mouse pixel position offset from the left side and dividing it by the width of an element. This logic was within a private method, so, without rewriting the whole list class it was *almost* impossible to solve... that is just a single control.. I guess I am saying, a month might be a little on the low side :) Mike --- In [email protected], "Matt Chotin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi, > > Sorry, we can't really give guidance on the Player release, but it's > definitely not 2007 :-) > > I think what's relatively straightforward is building text that needs to > display on a single line, especially static text.
