That would make sense.  Don't forget that the browser takes up some of
the screen's real estate (menu bars, etc).  If the user has their
favorite anchored on the side, that takes even more room off of the
width.  Your best bet would to pick a dimension a little smaller, say
950 x 550 to make room for menu bars, scroll bars, etc.
