I think the diversity reception feature needs to be better touted by Flex,
of course when it gets released to production. An internet search reveals
that K3 users are bragging about diversity reception, but they are talking
about stereo reception in the headphones and not the phase/amplitude nulling
that Bob has created. It is a whole different ball game, a feature that can
make receiver performance numbers have much much less meaning IMHO.

Diversity reception has been used for many years in communications
circuits and the conventional definition is well understood by OTs.
But when you can shift phase/amplitude to enhance or null signals, it
is not conventional diversity. I think the term "Beam Steering" has
been used for this and is more descriptive to me. If Flex starts
claiming beam-steering features, many will not "get it" if Flex
simply calls it diversity.
BTW, K1LT writes about his experience with beam steering using an
array of softrock receivers at http://k1lt.com . Also, Rocky is
available in a "diversity" version (V2.0) for use with two softrock
receivers at http://www.dxatlas.com/Download.asp .
