Hi guys,
I mentioned a few weeks ago regarding spikes and birdies on my
panadapter mainly on 6, but also in 10..
I have done some work reducing rf in the shack, mainly by taking the 6m
antenna out of the SGC mac-200 atu and putting it via a coaxial switch,
and moving the internet router / switches away as far as possible...
switching these off reduces spikes greatly.
However there are still some, and someone mentioned that do they move
with SR on or off, the answer is yes some do, some disappear as well.
Not a very technical explanation I know, so, what is the significance of
thespikes moving with SR, and can it be reduced / fixed ?
p.s. also I notice considerable audio noise when scrolling the
panadapter, either via mouse but more so by Powermate
It should be noted that I believe the lower bands are fine.
