The files I renamed were:
wisdom, database.xml, power.csv
After doing so, PowerSDR 2.0 beta now runs ok. The renamed files were
recreated on startup. I did not need to uninstall/reinstall the beta,
just launched PowerSDR.exe and it went through the wisdom step and
recreated the various files including the database.
I'm guessing the database was the problem since it was pre-existing and
had been used with 1.19.3 with HPSDR so may have had some incompatible
settings established. I've yet to try my 1.19.3 instance to see if it
still works. I'm guessing I'll need a way to tell one instance where to
put the database so I can have two separate instances: I did not see a
way to do this but you hinted at some technique (of course this is based
on the assumption that what I've surmised above is correct!).
