Unfortunately, unless you can remotely power cycle the FLEX-5000, there
is no other (software) way or resetting the radio.
For whatever little consolation this provides, The "no TX output" issue
has been added to the developer's software defect list, as I was a
victim of it earlier today.

Is there any way to force a hard reset of the Flex box remotely or via
software so that I can clear this issue?
Usually I just nail the power switch to get it working again. But I'm 500
miles away from it now!
