Larry,

To recover from this as quickly as possible, you will need to do this.

*Download* and install firmware 1.3.0.8 on the FLEX-5000 (there is no need to
change the Firewire driver if you download the latest 1.x firmware)
Load and run PowerSDR v1.18.6 using a clean DB and antennas disconnected or on
dummy loads.
Run the RX image calibration
Re-install firmware 2.0.2.2
Run PowerSDR v2.x (it will reload the EEPROM data into the database)

Ok - well I've done this a few times before - have reset the database and have
ANT1 into the dummy load and RX2 on RX1 tap. I'm back on 2.0 beta (unified
installer) with firmware 2.0.2.2 and same issue. I notice that RX2 passes
level and image calibration and also I note that RX2 (rx1 tap) and into dummy
load the pan adapter level is down around -120db (I think is normal) - RX1 is
up at -40 db on all bands so what does RX1 at -40db with dummy load (3 foot
coax and yes, I tried different coax) mean? Dudley - I still have the EEPROM
backup - how would I restore it?

The only thing I can think of is that when I switched to my F3K and then back
to my F5K and ran the calibration test I may have corrupted something. I found
my backup of the EEPROM however to restore it back to the radio it seems I need
a special tool:

Restoring an EEPROM Backup File
Restoring an EEPROM backup file is done with a special version of the EEPROM
Reader tool. You must contact FlexRadio Support to get the write enabled
EEPROM Management tool along with the instructions on how to recover your
EEPROM data from the backup file.

Would be cool if we could use the F5K (today) for field day. Thanks.

Tim's right, to run the image you need to have all antennas removed, and a
fresh database may correct the issue...
One thing that you need to protect, that is the Backup folder in the install
directory, this is the backup to the EEPROM data that was first read from the
radio. You may need it if you can't get the Image Test to run successfully.,
so don't completely remove the install directory.

Are you using a clean default database with the antennas disconnected?

Subject: [FlexEdge] F5K image routine fails

Flex 5K with RX2 running 2.0 beta and latest firewire on Windows 7 32 bit.

Thought I would double check the F5K prior to tomorrows field day - its been
running the beta 2.0 with no issues. I noticed this afternoon that there were
some strange images on the pan so I decided to do an RX image and level
calibration. The level calibration passed but the image calibration failed.
Rebooted and reset radio but same issue. I decided to revert the radio
firmware to the current production version and also revert the firewire and
Powersdr also to production versions (downloaded all from flex home page).
Now, running the image calibration still fails. Have unstained (rebooted),
and reinstalled a few times with no joy. Suggestions?

TRX/IO dialog error when running image calibration is:

RX Image - 80m : Failed
(-3402823000000000000000000000.0, -3402823000000000000000000000.0)

Same for other bands
