Howard,
I don't have the RX2 in my F5k so can't duplicate what you seeing...
However, it sounds like what your seeing is the RX2 RX image ( 9Khz
DSP IF ).. If you turn SR off , the image will move in the opposite
direction of the main signal as you change the RX2 frequency but will be
almost exactly 18 khz below the dial freq if the RX2 vfo and TX VFO are
the same (mode = SSB)... With SR on, the image may be 18KHZ + or - a
couple khz and jump around a bit as you tune the RX2. If your using
the 2.0 software, the image may fade and disappear after a period of time..

Hi,
I find that when I press the TUN button on Flex 5000a to issue a tune
signal,
that my RX2(RX1-TAP) shows a major spur about 18khz lower.
Now for the strange part. If I start moving the frequency of the RX2
to try to
center it on the spur - the spur keeps moving around.
This is really strange.
Again, I am changing the RX2 frequency while transmitting a tune
signal, and the spur keeps moving around.
Any comments?
Howard
