Randy, if I am the William you are talking about then you didn't read my email closely. My equipment was damaged by a spike on the CABLE, not the ANTENNA and not the LINE POWER.
My antennas are all protected by Alpha Delta gas discharge devices and are shorted to ground when not in actual use. My power is protected by a Brickwall surge protector and an ICE line filter. Since then, I have added an APC etherrnet surge protector and a Tii Technologies surge protector on the cable. This is the price one pays for living in the lightning capital of the world. We do all we can and still get zinged now and then. If you were talking to another William, I stand corrected.
