Regards the T-1 tuner... It fits in a shirt pocket. About the size of a pack of "king-sized" cigarettes. It tunes as fast as any other tuner. I can match my 30 M half wave dipole on any frequency from 60 Meters to 6 Meters. It won't match my 30 M dipole on either 80 or 160. It is rated for 20 Watts, max. It uses latching relays, so zero power after tuning complete. Runs off a 9 Volt internal battery, that lasts for several years. Built in (five step) Wattmeter and SWR meter that seem reasonably accurate. Definitely not weatherproof. You invoke about six different functions with only two buttons, so you need to practice running it a little bit.
All in all, a great little ATU for QRP and/or portable operations. --- Graham / KE9H == On Sat, Jul 17, 2010 at 7:26 PM, Brian Lloyd <[email protected]> wrote: > On Sat, Jul 17, 2010 at 8:13 PM, Steve Potter > <[email protected]>wrote: > > > I couldn't recommend the SGC MAC-200, I get horrendous RFI feedback > > problems with it in circuit for my 6m antenna... since the new 3000 ATU > > software I have taken it out of circuit and replaced with a simple > > coaxial switch. > > It's a shame really as it could have been a good station antenna switch > > & aatu... as an aside my LDGZ100 plus had no rfi problems either so > > probably one to avoid chaps.. > > > > Thanks Steve.
