If you don't want the hassle of mounting an external GPS antenna, the
LPRO-101 Rubidium sources are still available at <$100.
Better than 10Hz at 10Gigs, or a few milli-Hertz at 10Megs, and
adjustable if you want to get it spot on. More than good enough for any
HF application. Very good phase noise performance as well.
If you need the accuracy at microwave frequencies then it is up to the
transverter LO in any case.

Guys,
The Trimble Thunderbolt is available on EBay for about $120... I have
two of them.... You have to build a small PSU (for which details are
readily available on the internet), the diagnostic and monitoring
software is also available.
Interfacing one to a Flex requires a small attenuator to give a 5-7 dB
pad - think three 1/8 watt resistors...
Just a thought - please send flame attacks to /dev/null! :-)

I am pretty sure I can get a good price if I get 20+ people to commit.
The one off price is like $1500 but i am sure i can get a much much
better price.
