The oversight was that the upper end RX frequency specification
didn't get updated on the product matrix web page sooner, and for that I
apologize. The change was not last minute, but happended during the
hardware evolution from the features and capabilities the FLEX-1500 was
initially speced for over a year ago to the final configuration that is
shipping today. Sometimes the web guy is the last to know about those
changes.
It may be possible to open the receiver up further, but I don't have the
specs on the roll off of the high frequency filter bank to know if that
is a viable option. I will however add it to the internal developer's
release management tool as a "user story" which will be evaluated for
its inclusion as a future FLEX-1500 feature.

This morning it was spec'ed at 60 MHz like all the other Flex products and the
SDR-1000.
I sure hope that's a mistake that can be rectified. There are still plenty of
video carriers to monitor for Es and meteors. I can't imagine a six meter
radio without that capability.
Can someone please tell me what the reason is for the last minute spec change?

You are not doing anything wrong. 54 MHz is the max RX frequency for the
FLEX-1500

Subject: [FlexEdge] 55.25 MHz??
Can someone tell me how I get my 1500 to tune above 54 MHz?
I must be doing something wrong somewhere.
I am trying to listen to the channel 2 video carriers at 55.25+-.
