I've been running a 1500 on my laptop (WinXP,SP3) and a 5000A on my
desktop (Win7 Ultimate, 64-bit), both using PowerSDR 2.0.8. I decided
to try and get them both running on the desktop computer. I followed
the instructions in KnowledgeBase Article 50469 and created a 2nd
shortcut on the desktop for the 1500. I modified the Target Field in
the shortcut properties as follows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v2.0.8\PowerSDR.exe"
-datapath:"%appdata%\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v2.0.8\FLEX-1500"
**
When I started it, it ran the one-time optimization. The Radio Model
dialog box was next. It was already checked for the 1500, so I hit
next. And finally I hit Finish. Next comes a Driver Error dialog box
"Error opening radio driver." I hit ok and PowerSDR starts up. From
the Setup Menu, I select Windows WASAPI and Flex-1500 for the
Input/Output. Hit Apply and then OK, but now the Start button doesn't
seem to work. So I closed PowerSDR and reopened it. Next there is a
dialog box with the following:
"Could not load file or assembly 'wdapi_dotnet1011, Version=10.1.10,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" or one of its dependencies. The
system cannot find the file specified. . . . "
I checked to see if the dll exists and found it in the following locations:
Directory of c:\Program Files (x86)\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR
v2.0.8\1500 Driver32
07/02/2010 03:02 PM 149,560 wdapi1011.dll
07/02/2010 03:02 PM 74,808 wdapi_dotnet1011.dll
2 File(s) 224,368 bytes
Directory of c:\Program Files (x86)\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR
v2.0.8\1500 Driver64
07/02/2010 03:02 PM 116,792 wdapi1011.dll
07/02/2010 03:02 PM 74,808 wdapi_dotnet1011.dll
2 File(s) 191,600 bytes
Any ideas how to get the 1500 to co-exist with the 5000A on my desktop
computer? I plan to run both radios simutaneously. BTW, when I first
plugged the 1500 into my computer, it found the drivers ok and indicated
that I was good to go. Also, during the above exercise, the 5000A was
powered off.
