Looking at the description of what was fixed , I believe this Hotfix was to fix the BSODs that we had on Win 7 64 earlier on (late 2009 and early 2010). My quick test shows it does not fix raspy audio, I can still reproduce that at will. Whats curious is that Drax has a newer version of 1394ohci.sys than the hot fix, Id like to find out what thats about (ie the date on the file) So . Fallback young man is still the Mantra. Im going to continue to track down whats goin on with 1394ohci.sys .. They gotta fix it someday !! BTW, even if your device manager says its the TI 1394 driver (or Lucent...) its still 1394OHCI.sys and has major problems. Fallback young man! After seeing Draxs email about finding a newer rev, I poked around a bit and found this Hotfix. I checked prior emails in the reflectors and knowledge center and find no reference to it so I thought Id publish here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981613 I have installed and started testing _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
