I think we have a mix up. I installed the hotfix first. Didn't have any luck with it.
A couple weeks later, Weds., I updated drivers where it suggested I use the Texas Instruments driver instead. The new TI is the one that's working better for me. -----Original Message----- From: Dave Beumer WØDHB [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, November 12, 2010 6:03 PM To: 'Drax Felton' Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: [FlexEdge] YAFWHF (yet another firewire hotfix) Interesting, the Hotfix (the newer one) installs the same version you found during your update driver.. ( 6.1.7600.20756) I ran some tests on this one using some tests I have to produce raspy audio . With the legacy driver vs non-legacy in the hot-fix, I noticed Raspy audio still occurred in both , the new non-legacy it occurred less often and less magnitude. Interestingly, with the new non-legacy it appeared in some cases the raspy audio corrected itself within a second or so . Dont try this at home, your mileage my vary, etc. Im going to try it for a while like Drax is and see how it goes.
