You need to download this document and read it first.
http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=356

Then download the driver patch kit
http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=355

Then do steps 1, 2, and 5 listed in the troubleshooting guide. There is a 99%
chance that either steps 2 or 5 will resolve your problem.

If not, then you can try 3, but there is a good chance y our BIOS does not have
this setting. Doing Step 4 is optional and is usually not necessary unless you
USB controller is really wacked out.

If all else fails, then you need to contact FlexRadio Support (Dudley) so he
can do a driver debug trace to see what is going on ([email protected])

Subject: [FlexEdge] Problem upgrading to 2.0.16 / F1500

Greetings,

I have been running 2.0.5 since I got my 1500 last summer. It was working fine
this morning, then I decided for some strange reason to upgrade to 2.0.16.
I downloaded the update from the main Flex page, and followed the install
instructions.

PSDR starts up fine, but no indication of any receive activity. Signal meter
shows -240dBm. Changing the antenna selection has no effect. I'm injecting
-70dBm into the XVRX port from my HP8640, so I was expecting to see something.
Virgin database, default settings of WWV, 10MHz LSB, 0db preamp. Changing mode
has no effect, changing bands varies the signal reading as the preamp selection
changes; at 30dB preamp the signal meter drops to -270dBm.

Toshiba L505 laptop, i3 + 4GB, Win 7/64.

Device Manager shows F1500 SDR driver 10.1.1.0, USB Kernel driver 10.2.1.0.

The big problem is that I don't seem to have a way of going back to 2.0.5. I
even uninstalled both drivers and downloaded 2.0.8 from the Flex page but that
won't run either. Device Manager/ Other devices/
FLEX-1500 says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"

I really would like to get this back in service driving my transverters before
the Jan VHF contest. My F3K is at 1.18.6 on a different computer and is working
wonderfully; I don't think I'll risk trying the Beta version on that one.

Any comments / suggestions gratefully received.
