One thing I noticed running AM in my case was that, if you are running a
broadcast type element such as the Heil Pro or equivelant, is that you will
get reports of "way to much bottom end" in the audio. A suggestion for those
who have yet to get their feet wet is to use something along the line of a
Heil HC5 for better audio reports when running AM. Or, just adjust the tx
audio to drop the bottom end of the voice.

I get great audio reports on AM with my SDR-1000. Does that mean I will
get results similar to Rob's?

Yes. The "magic" is in the DSP (software).
