Hi Dave,

I have found while running AM that you will not run out of headroom with the 
Flex PA if you stay below 100% for the carrier setting. I typically run a 
setting between 60% to 75% and produce a 10 to 15 watt carrier to drive a pair 
of 3-500's. When set up that way, the Flex effortlessly produces a very clean 
signal while reaching positive peaks in the 110% to 120% range. That's still 
very compatible with older diode detector type receivers that many of the hams 
I speak with are using.
