If it is best that the antennas be disconnected - then should there not be a
pause in the set procedure to allow them to be disconnected?
Perhaps (for my setup) it's not that important but I'm guessing that we all
would like to have the "system" running the best that it can.
So if I uninstall PowerSDR, disconnect the antenna's and reinstall - would
that work better, without the risk of the manual system?

Subject: Re: [FlexEdge] PowerSDR(TM) v2.0.19 RC1 install auto calibrationonstartup?> It is best that the antennas be disconnected. Here is the procedure to
run it manually, but you should only do this if you are experience SEVERE
issues with image rejection. Don't use the lower half of the bands in a CW
contest to determine if you have a RX image rejection problem. WBIR is not
working 100% correctly yet and there are too many strong signals down there
to null properly.
Caution: Running any other calibration test other than the ones described
below may hose up your radio to the point it may have to be sent to Austin
to correct and it may not be covered under warranty repair, meaning you
might have to pay bench rates for the fix.
Procedure:
If you have PowerSDR running, do a database reset using the Setup form
(buttons at the bottom). This will copy your existing DB to the desktop
and initialize a "clean" default database and shut down PowerSDR.
Power off the radio
Disconnect any antennas
Start PowerSDR. It will go through the EEPROM loads to the new database.
Start PowerSDR and make sure you are receiving OK. (no distorted audio or
anything like that) You can temporally connect an antenna to ANT-1 to
check this out, but disconnect when you are done.
Do not change any PowerSDR parameters
Type the key sequence [shift]+[ctrl]+P to bring up the TRX Test form.
Click on the Image button in the Receiver Tests box - this test only take
a minute to run
If any test fail, re-run the image cal. Sometimes it can take a pass or
two
Click on the Level button in the Receiver Tests box - this test takes a
little longer
If any test fail, re-run the level cal. Sometimes it can take a pass or
two
When done, close the TRX form.
If you have an rx2 installed, then do this
Type the key sequence [shift]+[ctrl]+R to bring up the RX2 Test form.
Click on the Image button in the calibration box - this test only take a
minute to run
If any test fail, re-run the image cal. Sometimes it can take a pass or
two
Click on the Level button in the calibration box - this test takes a
little longer
If any test fail, re-run the level cal. Sometimes it can take a pass or
two
Once done, you can restore your previous database by opening the Setup
form and selecting Import Database and select the one that was copied to
your desktop in the first steps.

startup?
Does it matter whether antennas are connected or not to the radio when the
auto calibration on initial start-up after installation is done?
How does one force a recalibration if desired?
