You left out an import piece of info - what radio hardware are you using? F3K
or F5K?

Also, what is your Firewire 1394 driver set for? Legacy or the native driver?

And one last thing, what sampling rate and audio buffer size are you using?

Subject: [FlexEdge] Problem with 2.0.19 rc1

Installation was smooth, and operation is very good except as follows. I'm
using a Win 7-64, Core i7 computer. I did not import the old database, but
started from scratch. Prior to installation, I deleted the old firewire driver.

Over a period of about 10 hours of cw operation (using an external keyer), PSDR
froze up six times during CW transmission. It appears that I'm not the

only person who is experiencing this--see bug report 3461.

After the first freeze-up, I rebooted the computer--no help.

On four occasions, I was able to restart by clicking the start button. On two
occasions, PSDR was "not responding", and I had to use Windows Task Manager to
close PSDR and restart. On one occasion, it froze "key down" after I finally
beat my way through a pile-up (embarrassing).

In six months of operation, I did not experience a PSDR lockup with the other
betas.

NB is still very ineffective against an intermittent noise that I have here in
the evenings. I hope improvements can be made in future releases.

On the plus side, I have not experienced the audio distortion/firewire problem
with the new beta.

Dan - W4TQ
