The ANFSQ-7 predates me. My first job was on an 1130 used for checking
wiring decks, before moving on to 360/370.
MS has a more robust multitasker in the Enterprise, server etc versions
of the OS, but the low end still uses preemptive mt. And it's difficult
to tune unless you use a tool like Processor Lasso. And even then, one
wrong tweak and BSOD!!

I was also trained on OS/2 internals/externals. It took until Windows NT
