This bug has been addressed with the next version of PowerSDR.

I reported this on the Bug List, and then posted the following update with 
sure-fire instructions how to cause the problem:

RX1 SPLIT enabled.

"Auto Mute RX1 on VFO B TX" checked.

Enabling MON does not kill audio.

Turn on RX2.

Enabling MON now kills audio even when RX2 [or SPLIT] is turned off again.

Exiting and restarting PowerSDR fixes the problem -- until next time.
