The main thing that I am doing is getting the virtual comm ports out of the
range comm1-10. This does not give you complete safety as I have seen
windows decide to assign comm12 out of the blue to a vcomm device but it
does eliminate 85% of the confusion.

The reason I think this is important is that people get upset (rightly so)
when all of a sudden their PowerSDR and DDUtil configurations that used to
work no longer do. I think one of the main causes of this is the inadvertent
comm port assignment shuffle when you stick in a card reader, camera, new
mouse/.keyboard fob, etc and now comm5 isnt what you thought it was anymore.

If you move them up, the chances that windows will do this decrease and you
will enjoy fewer of those gotchas that frustrate everyone!
