FlexEDGE subscribers,
FlexRadio Systems is pleased to announce the latest BETA product
offering in the PowerSDR software line; PowerSDR 2.2.2 BETA.
PowerSDR 2.2.2 BETA represents the continued improvement of the software
that is the brains of our FLEX and SDR family of software defined radios
for the amateur radio market. This new product release contains various
quality improvements and two major new features; Tracking RF Notch
Filters (TNF) and Enhanced Signal Clarity (ESC) is a diversity reception
technique which had been previously referred to as beam steering or null
forming. For a complete listing of changes in PowerSDR v2.2.2, please
refer to the Release Notes.
This is a BETA release which has been pre-qualified by our alpha team
and is ready for testing by FlexEDGE users. Beta releases, by their
very nature, may have defects and other issues that can make your radio
inoperable, requiring you to revert back to a previous version of
PowerSDR for stable operation. If you are uncomfortable using BETA
software, we recommend that you wait until the official (non-beta)
release of PowerSDR 2.2.x is made available.
As with all new product releases of PowerSDR, please review the release
notes *before* installing and using PowerSDR v2.2.2 BETA as there may be
information specific to your configuration which could be very pertinent
to the success of your beta testing experience.
You can download the release notes for PowerSDR v2.2.2 BETA from our web
site at:

Uninstalling a previous version of PowerSDR v2.x before installing
PowerSDR v2.2.2 BETA it is not necessary since each release is
installed independently of the others.
You can download the Integrated Installer for PowerSDR v2.2.2 BETA from
our web site at:

As always with a beta release, if you find any behavior that appears to
be a defect (bug) or anomalous, please help the quality initiative by
providing a detailed explanation of your findings on our Bug Tracker so
that we can investigate it further. While you are encouraged to discuss
topics about PowerSDR v2.2.2 BETA on the FlexEDGE reflector, please
refrain from actually reporting software defects to FlexRadio Systems
using the FlexEDGE reflector, as we may inadvertently miss your report
with all of the other reflector postings. If you do not know how to
list a bug report on the Bug Tracker, please refer to the following KB
article "How to Report Software Bugs for FlexRadio Systems' Products"
(http://kc.flexradio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50133.aspx) for additional
information.
