I've had a THP 2.5K for over a year and use it daily with my Flex 5K. After
a month of use, the finals died. I sent it back to Array Solutions and they
fixed it under warranty. They said that THP had put out a notice that they
had gotten a bad bunch of FETs. The numbering on my FETs agreed with the
numbers in the bulletin. After the replacement, I've been running it daily
with no problems.

I guess that ignorance is bliss because I had never heard that the Flex had
a problem with spikes. Wonder if that problem has been fixed?

All in all, I love the THP 2.5K, although I do wish it had automatic
frequency sensing.

Undoubtedly, THP has a bad impression using Flex rigs as exciters. I have no
real experience with any problems but all I have is their 40 watt amp I use
with my 1500.

Does anyone else have any stories to relate about spikes killing their THP
amps??
